On the Dacia Logan fitted with the 1.5 dCi engine, several references may have been fitted at the factory or during previous replacements, making this check indispensable before any purchase. This new turbo is compatible with reference 54359880033, a widely used reference on this generation of Logan.

Engine variants covered on the Logan 1.5 dCi

This new turbo is intended for Dacia Logan models fitted with the 1.5 dCi diesel engine, producing 65 or 68 hp depending on the version, with an engine capacity of 1461 cm³. These units are identified by the engine codes K9K, available in several variants (K9K 700, K9K 714, K9K 792, K9K 800, among others). Given the many variants of this engine, only a physical comparison of the reference on the old turbo can guarantee a perfect fit for your vehicle.

Warranty and delivery for this Logan turbo

This turbo is new and sold as a straightforward purchase: there is no old unit to return, no collection or return of the old turbo, and no deposit. The new turbo is delivered in a single shipment. This new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

Symptoms and common causes of turbo failure on the K9K engine

On the 1.5 dCi, a gradual loss of power, exhaust smoke, or an unusual whistling noise under acceleration are often the first signs of a failing turbo. The most common causes of failure on this unit include insufficient lubrication due to poor-quality oil or missed oil changes, a clogged air filter allowing contaminants through, or a cracked intercooler. Driving too hard without allowing the engine to cool down before switching off also accelerates turbo wear.

Advice before and after fitting

Before fitting this new turbo to your Logan, carefully inspect the oil circuit (hoses, feed and return lines) as well as the air intake, to avoid any contamination of the new component. On first start-up, priming with oil is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and extend the service life of the turbo.

This same turbo also fits

New Dacia Sandero Turbo – Ref. 54359880033

New Renault Clio Turbo – Ref. 54359880033

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_44f22ae5-5225-44c6-94b6-d2cfd2156b8e.png?v=1790810550
