This family SUV is often heavily loaded and used in mixed town and road driving, which places heavy demands on the forced induction system. A worn turbo will first show itself as a loss of performance and increased fuel consumption before failing altogether. Fitting a new turbo restores the flexibility and driving pleasure you expect from this model.

Compatibility with Volvo XC90 engines

This new turbo is compatible with reference 723167-5008S, intended for the Volvo XC90 fitted with the 2.4 D5 163 ch engine — a 2401 cm³ diesel unit known under engine codes D5244T, D5244T2 and D5244T5. Before placing an order, we recommend checking this reference directly on your old turbo or on the vehicle's identification plate, to ensure perfect compatibility with your XC90.

Exchange basis and warranty for this Volvo XC90 turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required, but it is only requested after delivery and fitting of the new turbo, so your XC90 is not left off the road unnecessarily. The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to make your purchase easier.

Fitting and maintenance advice for the D5244T

On the D5244T engine of the XC90, the leading cause of turbo failure is insufficient lubrication due to poor-quality oil or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter or a damaged air intake allowing contaminants through. Before fitting the new turbo, carefully inspect the oil circuit, the intake hoses and the intercooler, as a fault in any of these components can shorten the life of the new part. When starting up for the first time, remember to prime the turbo with oil before the initial start to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and preserve the longevity of your Volvo XC90 turbo.

This same turbo also fits

New Volvo S60 Turbo – Ref. 723167-5008S

New Volvo V70 Turbo – Ref. 723167-5008S

New Volvo S80 Turbo – Ref. 723167-5008S

New Volvo XC70 Turbo – Ref. 723167-5008S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_a7233e1a-eb3f-410b-9a6c-2a20c9e8fd4c.png?v=1790812635
