The main causes of failure observed on this engine are progressive fouling of the variable-geometry system, insufficient or overdue engine oil changes, and a clogged air filter disrupting the turbo's air supply. Driving habits such as hard acceleration without a warm-up period, or switching the engine off immediately after a demanding run, also accelerate wear on the central bearing and the bearings.

Compatibility of the new turbo for the Eos 2.0 TDI 140

This new turbo is compatible with reference 765261-5008S and is intended for Volkswagen Eos models fitted with the 2.0 TDI 140 engine, corresponding to engine codes BMM, BMP and CBAB. A clogged air filter or hard acceleration immediately after a cold start also contribute to premature failure. Before installing the new turbo, check the oil circuit (hoses and return line), the air intake, and the condition of the intercooler to avoid any contamination. On first start-up, remember to prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the central bearing from the very first engine revolutions.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_7186902a-a348-4a1d-baf2-f3d4a9c04618.png?v=1790814114
