turbo-skoda-octavia-neuf-720855-5007s
New Skoda Octavia Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

Why does the Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI 130 turbo fail?

On the Skoda Octavia I fitted with the 1.9 TDI 130 engine (engine code ASZ), the variable-geometry turbocharger is put under particular strain by the movable vanes that regulate boost pressure. Dirty engine oil or neglected oil changes lead to a build-up of deposits in the central cartridge and progressive seizure of the variable-geometry mechanism. A clogged air filter or a cracked intake hose can also cause dust ingestion or pressure fluctuations that accelerate wear on the bearings and turbine wheel. Driving habits such as sudden high-rev bursts without allowing the engine to cool down, or switching the engine off immediately after sustained use, also weaken the turbo on this engine.

Compatibility of the new turbo for the Skoda Octavia

This new turbo is compatible with reference 720855-5007S and fits the Skoda Octavia I equipped with the 1.9 TDI 130 engine, engine code ASZ, with an engine capacity of 1896 cm³, running on diesel. Before placing an order, it is recommended that you check the reference marked on your old turbo or on the vehicle's identification plate, as certain body variants (saloon or estate) may use closely related references.

Equivalent references

038253016F

038253016FU

038253016FV

038253016FV115

038253016FV500

038253016FV510

038253016FX

03G253016Q

03G253016QU

03G253016QV

03G253016QX

716216-5001S

720855-5007S

Exchange and warranty for the Octavia

This turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Prime the cartridge with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings. Replace the air filter if necessary and inspect the intercooler to guarantee a clean, leak-free air supply.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New SEAT Leon Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New SEAT Toledo Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Volkswagen Bora Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Volkswagen Golf Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_22a10b0b-00ad-42b1-b8b4-9d01aea5ce37.png?v=1790812128
