turbo-skoda-roomster-neuf-733783-5008s
New Skoda Roomster Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

Identifying the correct turbo for your Skoda Roomster 1.4 TDI

Before placing any order, it is essential to check the reference printed on the label of your old turbo, directly on the vehicle. On the Skoda Roomster, several turbos were fitted over the years depending on the engine and year of production; comparing the physical reference with the one offered here — 733783-5008S — will help you avoid any compatibility errors before purchasing.

Skoda Roomster engines covered by this new turbo

This new turbo is compatible with reference 733783-5008S, intended for the Skoda Roomster fitted with the 1.4 TDI diesel engine in 70, 75 and 80 hp versions, with an engine capacity of 1422 cm³. The engine codes associated with this engine are BAY, BNM, BNV, BMS and BWB. On this compact 3-cylinder, the turbocharger plays a key role in managing intake pressure and delivering low-rev torque — particularly useful in an urban MPV like the Roomster.

Common causes of failure on this 1.4 TDI engine

On BAY, BNM, BNV, BMS and BWB blocks, premature turbo wear is often caused by insufficient lubrication, poor-quality engine oil or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter. A split or poorly clipped intercooler hose, a driving style characterised by hard acceleration without a cooling-down phase, or a blocked air intake can also accelerate turbocharger failure.

Points to check before fitting

Before fitting this new turbo to your Roomster, check the condition of the oil circuit (feed and return lines), the cleanliness of the hoses connecting the turbo to the intercooler, and ensure there are no foreign bodies in the air intake. Pre-lubricating the turbo with oil before the first start is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings.

Exchange basis and warranty

This new turbo for the Skoda Roomster is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old unit is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is not left off the road. A 12-month parts warranty applies, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A2 Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New SEAT Cordoba Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New SEAT Ibiza Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New Skoda Fabia Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New Volkswagen Fox Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New Volkswagen Polo Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

New Volkswagen Lupo Turbo – Ref. 733783-5008S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_3a904544-d410-47c6-a310-0616c435996d.png?v=1790811844
