This kind of use — with repeated high-rev bursts and, at times, short journeys that leave the oil insufficiently warmed — places considerable strain on the turbocharger. Over time, neglected lubrication circuits or a clogged air filter can accelerate wear on the bearings and turbine wheel, leading to a gradual loss of power or an unusual whistling noise from under the bonnet.

Compatibility of the new turbo with the Avensis 1CD-FTV engine

This new turbo is compatible with reference 727210-5003S, intended for Toyota Avensis models fitted with the 2.0 D-4D diesel engine, engine code 1CD-FTV, with an engine capacity of 1995 cm³. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference shown on the data plate of your old turbo, or on its flange, to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.

Equivalent references

17201-0G010

17201-0G01084

17201-0G01B

1720106010

1720127070

57439880007

727210-5002S

727210-5003S

Exchange basis and warranty for your Avensis

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required; however, it is only collected after the new part has been delivered and fitted, so your Avensis is never left off the road. The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and after fitting on your Avensis

Before installing the new turbo, check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the lubrication hoses and the air intake upstream of the turbocharger. A blocked air filter or a cracked intercooler can cause rapid failure of the new unit. It is advisable to replace the oil filter and carry out an oil change using a quality oil suited to the 1CD-FTV engine. On first start-up, priming the turbo with oil is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings before the engine builds revs.

This same turbo also fits

New Toyota Corolla Turbo – Ref. 727210-5003S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_ef31f364-abaa-46ce-a592-48265efe811e.png?v=1790812045
