turbo-audi-a3-neuf-720855-5007s
New Turbo Audi A3 – Ref. 720855-5007S

The new turbo for your Audi A3 1.9 TDI 130: the right choice for your driving profile

The first-generation Audi A3 (8L) fitted with the 1.9 TDI 130 engine has long been a popular choice for mixed use – town driving, open roads and long motorway runs alike. This kind of usage, often characterised by a combination of short cold-start journeys and more sustained motorway stints, subjects the turbocharger to repeated thermal and mechanical stress. Over time, these cycles weaken the bearings and internal seals, leading to a loss of power, blue smoke from the exhaust, or an unusual whistling noise from the engine bay.

To meet this need, this new turbo is compatible with reference 720855-5007S, intended for Audi A3 vehicles fitted with the 1.9 TDI 130 engine, engine code ASZ, Diesel, engine capacity 1896 cm³. Before placing any order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference marked on the old turbo and on the engine plate, to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.

Equivalent references

038253016F

038253016FU

038253016FV

038253016FV115

038253016FV500

038253016FV510

038253016FX

03G253016Q

03G253016QU

03G253016QV

03G253016QX

716216-5001S

720855-5007S

Exchange and warranty for this Audi A3 turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new part has been delivered and fitted, so your Audi A3 is never left off the road unnecessarily. The part comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments to make your purchase more manageable.

Fitting advice and common causes of failure on the ASZ engine

On the 1.9 TDI 130 ASZ engine, the leading cause of turbo failure is inadequate lubrication – typically due to poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged oil filter. A blocked air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt turbocharger operation and accelerate wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake, to prevent any contamination of the new turbo. When starting the engine for the first time, priming with oil is essential to ensure immediate bearing lubrication and extend the service life of the new part.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo SEAT Leon – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Turbo SEAT Toledo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Turbo Skoda Octavia – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Turbo Volkswagen Bora – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Turbo Volkswagen Golf – Ref. 720855-5007S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_037eb626-95eb-448f-b3de-d1e8cc13550b.png?v=1790812125
