A methodical check starts with reading the fault codes from the engine control unit, followed by a visual inspection of the turbine for excessive play, oil traces in the intake circuit, or an unusual whistling noise under acceleration. A loss of power, blue or black exhaust smoke, or an illuminated engine warning light are all tell-tale signs of a worn turbo on the engines fitted to the Q5. This preliminary diagnosis helps avoid an unnecessary replacement and ensures that the new turbo will be able to operate under the right conditions.

Compatibility of the new turbo with the Audi Q5

This new turbo is compatible with reference 882300-5003S and fits the Audi Q5 40 TDI 204 Mild Hybrid quattro, a 1968 cm³ diesel engine associated with engine codes DFBA and DTPA. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the reference printed on your old turbo or on the vehicle's identification plate, as certain engine variants may share similar but not identical parts.

Equivalent references

05L253019K

05L253019KV

05L253019KX

05L253019L

05L253019LV

05L253019LV160

05L253019LX

882300-5003S

Exchange basis and warranty for this Audi Q5 turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.

Fitting advice for the Audi Q5 40 TDI

On DFBA and DTPA engines, turbo longevity depends directly on lubrication quality: use an oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications and observe the recommended oil change intervals, as degraded oil or a clogged oil filter will accelerate bearing wear. Before fitting the new turbo, also check the condition of the air filter, intercooler and intake hoses, as any ingress of foreign matter or air leak can quickly damage the new part. It is recommended to clean and inspect the oil circuit and lubrication hoses before fitting, then to prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate bearing lubrication. Payment for your order can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Audi A4 – Ref. 882300-5003S

New Turbo Audi A5 – Ref. 882300-5003S

New Turbo Audi A6 – Ref. 882300-5003S

New Turbo Audi A7 – Ref. 882300-5003S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_e4bd139a-744d-49ec-8463-4bf8c77cdfcd.png?v=1790812602
