A blocked air filter or a damaged intercooler can also cause premature wear to the bearings and turbine. Hard acceleration without a proper warm-up period – common in a saloon of this size driven in a spirited manner – will also accelerate turbo wear.

Checks to carry out before fitting

Before installing the new turbo on your Série 7, check the oil circuit (cleanliness, absence of deposits), the condition of the oil feed pipes and the air intake, and ensure there is no excessive play in the intake ducts. When starting the engine for the first time, it is essential to prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.

This same turbo also fits

New BMW Série 3 Turbo – Ref. 777853-5013S

New BMW Série 5 Turbo – Ref. 777853-5013S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_08433b97-ee77-4aa6-b4c7-7d2efadfdf92.png?v=1790812889
