Unusual whistling under acceleration, a gradual loss of power, blue or black exhaust smoke, or an illuminated engine warning light are all signs that should raise concern. First check the engine oil level and quality, the condition of the air filter, and whether there is excessive play in the turbo shaft before concluding that the unit has failed beyond repair. This check helps avoid an unnecessary replacement and confirms that the turbo is indeed the source of the fault on your Berlingo.

Compatibility of the new turbo for the Citroën Berlingo 1.5 BlueHDi

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49S72-03100, intended for Citroën Berlingo models fitted with 1.5 BlueHDi engines. Before fitting the new turbo, inspect the oil circuit, the feed and return hoses, as well as the air intake and intercooler, to prevent any contamination or loss of sealing. Pre-lubricating the turbo with oil before the first start-up is essential to ensure immediate bearing lubrication and protect the long-term life of the part.

This same turbo also fits

New Citroën C3 Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

New Citroën C4 Cactus Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

New Peugeot 2008 Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

New Peugeot 208 Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

New Peugeot 308 Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

New Peugeot Rifter Turbo – Ref. 49S72-03100

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_b624ac50-2c0c-4cb6-856e-ef8bba1ff970.png?v=1790813520
