On the Citroën C4 fitted with the 1.6 BlueHDi 100, a thorough diagnosis involves reading fault codes, checking boost pressure, visually inspecting axial and radial play on the turbine, and confirming the absence of excessive play or abnormal whistling under acceleration. Checking the intake hose, air mass meter and variable-geometry solenoid valve will help rule out other causes before concluding that the turbo has failed.

Compatibility of the turbo with the Citroën C4 1.6 BlueHDi

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49172-03000, intended for the Citroën C4 fitted with the 1.6 BlueHDi 100 diesel engine, with an engine capacity of 1560 cm3, identified by engine code BHY (DV6FD). A blocked air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt turbo operation and accelerate wear. Before fitting, the oil circuit should be checked, the condition of the intake hoses inspected, and the air intake confirmed to be free of any blockage. On first start-up, it is advisable to prime the new turbo with oil so that lubrication is established from the very first engine revolutions, and it is worth driving gently for the first few kilometres to protect the new part.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Citroën C3 – Ref. 49172-03000

New Turbo Peugeot 208 – Ref. 49172-03000

New Turbo Peugeot 308 – Ref. 49172-03000

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_bf72c0ed-b443-44e4-96bb-e287d87ba3a1.png?v=1790813518
