turbo-opel-astra-neuf-49131-06005
New Turbo Opel Astra – Ref. 49131-06005

What changes behind the wheel of your Opel Astra with a new turbo

From the very first miles, a turbo in good condition restores the Astra 1.7 CDTI's usual responsiveness: mid-range pull becomes crisp again, the engine no longer strains with a whistling noise, and exhaust smoke disappears. On this model, a gradual loss of power or an unstable idle are often the first signs of a worn turbocharger – warning signs that should not be ignored, as neglecting them risks damaging the engine.

Compatibility with Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI engines

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49131-06005, intended for Opel Astra models fitted with the 1.7 CDTI 100 CV and 1.7 CDTI 101 CV engines, corresponding to engine codes Z17DT and Z17DTH, with an engine capacity of 1686 cm³ in diesel form. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the exact reference printed on the label of your old turbo, as certain versions of the Astra may have been fitted with turbocharger variants depending on their year of production.

Equivalent references

00860070

00860128

00860147

0860070

0860128

0860147

237187

49131-06005

49131-06007

57409880200

57409900200

860070

860128

860147

8973000921

8973000923

8973000924

8973000925

8973000926

8981023640

9008042

93169104

93169110

9508178

95518569

97300092

9730092

98102364

R1630029

Exchange basis and warranty for your Astra

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Astra is not left off the road unnecessarily. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, up to 10 instalments.

Fitting advice for the turbo on your Astra 1.7 CDTI

On these diesel engines, turbo failure is frequently caused by a lubrication fault linked to poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter allowing impurities to reach the turbine. Before fitting, it is essential to check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake, as well as the intercooler, which may retain oil residue following a previous failure. When starting the engine for the first time, it is recommended to prime the new turbo with oil to ensure the bearings are lubricated immediately from the moment the engine starts.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Opel Corsa – Ref. 49131-06005

New Turbo Opel Meriva – Ref. 49131-06005

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_060bba23-2059-4281-a7ba-72325dce6511.png?v=1790813548
