On the 1.7 DTI 75 CV and 1.7 CDTI 80 CV engines, progressive power loss, blue or black exhaust smoke, an unusual whistling noise under acceleration, or excessive oil consumption are all warning signs that should not be ignored. Before ordering this new turbo, check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the air filter, and that there are no leaks on the boost hoses – fitting a new turbo to a contaminated circuit risks premature failure.

Compatibility of the new turbo with the Opel Astra 1.7 DTI and 1.7 CDTI

This new turbo, compatible with reference 49173-06503, is designed for Opel Astra models fitted with the 1.7 DTI 75 CV and 1.7 CDTI 80 CV engines (1686 cm³), corresponding to engine codes Y17DT, Y17DTL and Z17DTL. An engine oil change using a suitable quality oil and a clean air filter will extend the life of the turbo. When starting up, prime the oil circuit before the first start to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings. Allowing the engine to warm up and cool down properly will also reduce the risk of premature failure.

This same turbo also fits

New Opel Combo Turbo – Ref. 49173-06503

New Opel Corsa Turbo – Ref. 49173-06503

New Opel Meriva Turbo – Ref. 49173-06503

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_10cbc33b-5955-4662-b53a-ea265eae96d9.png?v=1790813506
