This new turbo is compatible with reference 718089-5009S, a reference found across several generations of the Espace fitted with the 2.2 dCi 150 hp diesel engine. Comparing the numbers prevents any fitting errors and ensures perfect compatibility with your vehicle.

Engine and engine codes covered on the Espace

This new turbo fits the 2.2 dCi 150 engine of the Espace, associated with engine codes G9T700, G9T702 and G9T703. On this family model, often used for long journeys with a loaded vehicle, the turbo is put under considerable strain, particularly during acceleration and overtaking. Regular checks of its condition help prevent premature failure.

Equivalent references

0860095

1630013

718089-5009S

7701473437

7701474327

7701475282

7701475285

7711134877

7711134878

8200060089

8200106870

8200139476

8200176856

8200221363

8200221364

8200267138

8200267138A

8200447624

8200447624A

8200683860

8201235691

860095

93184463

93184464

9508120

R1630013

Exchange basis and warranty on this turbo

This part is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Espace is not left off the road. The turbo is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Common causes of failure on the G9T engine

On the 2.2 dCi 150, turbo failure most commonly results from inadequate lubrication due to poor-quality oil or missed oil changes, a clogged air filter, or a damaged intercooler allowing contaminants through. Aggressive driving — revving the engine hard immediately after a cold start — also accelerates bearing wear.

Points to check before fitting on your Espace

Cleanliness and condition of the turbo lubrication oil circuit

Condition of the hoses and air intake, free from cracks or blockages

Priming the turbo with oil before the first engine start

No abnormal play on the turbo shaft after installation

Following these steps is key to the longevity of the new turbo fitted to your Renault Espace.

This same turbo also fits

New Renault Avantime Turbo – Ref. 718089-5009S

New Renault Laguna Turbo – Ref. 718089-5009S

New Renault Vel Satis Turbo – Ref. 718089-5009S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_a4f6b2f0-401c-4a38-930b-68093ef8e719.png?v=1790812609
