A visual inspection of the turbo (shaft axial play, oil traces in the intake hoses, condition of the turbine) will often rule out other related faults such as a split hose or a faulty wastegate solenoid. A pressure test of the air circuit and a check of the fault codes via electronic diagnostics will complete the diagnosis before confirming that the turbocharger needs replacing.

Overview of the new turbo for the Renault Mégane 1.9 dCi

This new turbo is compatible with reference 751768-5005S, designed for Renault Mégane models fitted with the 1.9 dCi engine, available in various power outputs depending on the version (100, 102 or 105 hp). It is fitted to the 1870 cm³ diesel engine identified under engine codes F9Q. This engine was widely used in the Mégane and remains popular for its torque available from low revs, which places particular demands on the turbocharger in everyday use.

F9Q engine compatibility and reference verification

Before placing an order, it is recommended that you check the reference number on your old turbo, as several variants of the F9Q engine may have been fitted to the Mégane depending on the version and market. This check ensures perfect compatibility with your vehicle.

Exchange basis and warranty for this Mégane turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted, so your Mégane is not left off the road during the work. The part comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a professional. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (feed and return lines), the condition of the intake hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to ensure the bearings are immediately lubricated and to avoid any dry running on first start-up.

This same turbo also fits

New Opel Vivaro Turbo – Ref. 751768-5005S

New Renault Laguna Turbo – Ref. 751768-5005S

New Renault Master Turbo – Ref. 751768-5005S

New Renault Scénic Turbo – Ref. 751768-5005S

New Renault Trafic Turbo – Ref. 751768-5005S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_a25e5376-1a45-47e9-8aed-f17d1ba6c533.png?v=1790811355
