turbo-renault-trafic-neuf-454061-5010s
New Renault Trafic Turbo – Ref. 454061-5010S

Why does the Renault Trafic 2.8 D/TD turbo fail?

On Renault Trafic vans fitted with the 2.8 D/TD diesel engine (codes S9W700 and S9W702), the turbocharger operates under demanding conditions typical of this older engine, used in both light commercial and heavy-duty applications. The most common cause of failure is inadequate lubrication of the turbo shaft, often due to a partially blocked oil feed pipe or degraded engine oil resulting from infrequent oil changes. Bearing wear is particularly caused by a blocked oil feed pipe or poor lubrication. A clogged air filter, a damaged intercooler or poorly secured boost hoses will also accelerate premature turbo wear on this type of engine.

Compatibility of the turbo for Renault Trafic 2.8 D/TD

This new turbo is compatible with reference 454061-5010S, intended for Renault Trafic vans fitted with the S9W700 and S9W702 diesel engines of 2800 cm³. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the reference engraved on the old turbo or shown on the engine plate, to confirm a perfect match with your vehicle.

Equivalent references

00860077

04500939

09161239

4500939

454061-5001S

454061-5003S

454061-5006S

454061-5007S

454061-5008S

454061-5009S

454061-5010S

454061-5011S

454061-5012S

454061-5014S

5001859132

500385898

7701044612

7711135840

860077

9161239

9318404

93184040

93184046

9508107

99466793

R1630004

Exchange basis and warranty for this Trafic turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, and it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road unnecessarily.
