The most common causes of failure on these engines are linked to inadequate lubrication of the turbine: degraded engine oil or oil not changed at the recommended intervals, a blocked oil filter, or switching the engine off immediately after hard use, which prevents the central shaft from cooling down properly. A dirty air filter or a cracked intercooler also upsets the pressure balance and accelerates blade wear. Revving the engine hard immediately after a cold start causes premature wear of the turbo bearings.

Compatibility of the new turbo with the SEAT Altea 1.9 TDI 105

This new turbo is compatible with reference 54399880022, intended for the SEAT Altea fitted with the 1.9 TDI 105 engine – a 1896 cm³ diesel corresponding to engine codes AVQ, BJB, BKC, BXE, BRU, BXF and BXJ. Before ordering, we recommend checking the reference printed on the original turbo fitted to your vehicle to confirm an exact match with your engine.

Straightforward sale – no old unit to return

This turbo is sold new as a straightforward sale: no used part needs to be returned, no collection is arranged, and no deposit is required. You can spread the cost of your order and pay in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before fitting to your Altea

Before installing this new turbo, check the condition of the oil circuit: the feed and return hoses, the cleanliness of the oil passage, and replace the oil filter. Also inspect the air intake and intercooler to rule out any leaks or blockages that could damage the new turbo. On first start-up, prime the oil circuit before starting the engine, then let it idle for a few moments before putting it under load, to ensure correct lubrication from the very first revolutions.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A3 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New SEAT Ibiza 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New SEAT Leon 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New SEAT Toledo 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New Volkswagen Caddy 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

New Volkswagen Golf 1.9 TDI Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_c0dfad94-07a4-4b43-bb67-617706c6a5be.png?v=1790810378
