Conversely, a worn turbo typically shows itself through a gradual loss of power, an unusual whistling noise, exhaust smoke, or an engine warning light – sometimes triggering a limp-home mode that severely limits performance.

Compatibility of the new turbo for the Superb 2.0 TDI

This new turbo is compatible with reference 785448-5005S, intended for Skoda Superb models fitted with the 2.0 TDI 170 engine, identified by engine codes CBBB and CFGB. Before placing an order, please check this reference directly on your vehicle's old turbo – the label or engraved marking on the housing is the definitive confirmation of exact compatibility.

Equivalent references

785448-5005S

03L253010E

03L253010EV

03L253010EX

03L253010F

03L253010FU

03L253010FV

03L253010FX

03L253019Q

03L253019QX

Exchange basis and warranty for your Superb

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Superb is not left off the road during the process. The turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Key checks before fitting on the CBBB/CFGB engine

On these 2.0 TDI engines, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault – typically non-compliant oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter that leads to compressor fouling. Before fitting the new turbo, it is important to check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the hoses, the intercooler for leaks, and the air intake, as all of these directly affect the longevity of the part. On start-up, priming the turbo with oil is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings before the first rev, and gentle driving during the first few kilometres is advised.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Audi A3 – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Audi TT – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo SEAT Altea – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo SEAT Leon – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Skoda Octavia – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Skoda Yeti – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Volkswagen Golf – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Volkswagen Passat – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Volkswagen Sharan – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Volkswagen Tiguan – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Turbo Volkswagen Touran – Ref. 785448-5005S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_122c7813-4896-46d1-a9e1-d74e409d0729.png?v=1790811891
