An illuminated engine warning light on the dashboard and sluggish performance – particularly on hills or under load – are further warning signs not to be ignored on this model.

Compatibility of the new turbo for Volkswagen Tiguan

This new turbo is compatible with reference 785448-5005S, intended for Volkswagen Tiguan models fitted with a 2.0 TDI engine producing 170 or 177 hp, paired with engine codes CBBB, CFGB or CFGC. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on the old turbo or on the vehicle's identification plate, as certain variants of the 2.0 TDI may have been fitted with different turbos depending on the production period.

Equivalent references

785448-5005S

03L253010E

03L253010EV

03L253010EX

03L253010F

03L253010FU

03L253010FV

03L253010FX

03L253019Q

03L253019QX

Exchange and warranty for your Tiguan

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Tiguan is not left off the road unnecessarily. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to make your purchase more manageable.

Tips for fitting the turbo on your Tiguan

Before fitting this new turbo to your Tiguan 2.0 TDI, several checks are essential to protect its longevity. Inspect the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the hoses and the absence of any leaks at the sump, as poor lubrication or low-quality oil remains a common cause of premature failure on this type of engine. Also check the condition of the air filter and intercooler, as well as the integrity of the air intake, to prevent the turbo from being contaminated by impurities. When starting up for the first time, oil priming is essential to ensure the bearings are immediately lubricated from the very first start. Finally, drive gently after installation, avoiding hard acceleration during the first few kilometres, to allow the turbo on your Tiguan to bed in under optimal conditions.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Audi TT Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New SEAT Altea Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New SEAT Leon Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Skoda Octavia Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Skoda Superb Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Skoda Yeti Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Volkswagen Golf Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Volkswagen Passat Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Volkswagen Sharan Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

New Volkswagen Touran Turbo – Ref. 785448-5005S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_0b055551-b7ad-4edc-a312-1b6acbabb468.png?v=1790811894
