This versatility, combined with a sometimes spirited driving style that puts real demands on the forced induction system, exposes the turbo to gradual wear – particularly during repeated cold starts or short journeys that prevent the engine oil from reaching its proper operating temperature. A new turbo, correctly fitted, restores the full boost capacity of this petrol engine and eliminates the power loss or tell-tale smoke associated with a worn turbo.

Compatibility with the Volvo S40 engine

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49377-06260, intended for the 2.0 T petrol engines of the Volvo S40, with an engine capacity of 1948 cm³, corresponding to engine codes B4204T2 and B4204T3. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (feed and return lines), the air intake hoses, and ensure there are no deposits in the intake. It is also advisable to pre-lubricate the turbo with oil before the first start, to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and avoid any dry running when the engine is restarted.

Check the condition and cleanliness of the intercooler

Check for any leaks on the boost hoses

Follow the recommended oil change intervals for this engine

Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to make purchasing this new turbo more manageable.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Volvo V40 – Ref. 49377-06260

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_33320b4d-cd00-4f7c-9f31-7362053399f4.png?v=1790813570
