A whistling sound that intensifies with engine speed is also a tell-tale sign of excessive play in the central cartridge. These symptoms are common on this compact unit, which sees heavy daily use, and should not be ignored — they can signal complete turbocharger failure.

A new turbo compatible with reference 49173-07503 for the Volvo V50

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49173-07503, intended for the Volvo V50 with the 1.6 D 90 engine, engine code DV6UTED4. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Volvo V50 is not left off the road unnecessarily. A 12-month parts warranty applies, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, up to 10 instalments.

Fitting advice to protect your turbo

Before fitting this turbo to your Volvo V50, check the oil circuit (feed and return hoses), the condition of the air intake, the air filter and the intercooler — these are often responsible for premature turbocharger failure. Using a good-quality engine oil, changed in line with manufacturer recommendations, reduces the risk of sludge build-up and overheating. When starting up for the first time, prime the turbo with oil before the initial start, and drive gently for the first few kilometres to allow even lubrication throughout.

This same turbo also fits

New Turbo Citroën Berlingo – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Citroën C3 – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Citroën C4 – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Fiat Scudo – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Ford C-Max – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Ford Fiesta – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Ford Focus – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Peugeot 206 – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Peugeot 307 – Ref. 49173-07503

New Turbo Peugeot Partner – Ref. 49173-07503

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_746c98de-ce6e-4111-9eeb-ce4d96c9dad5.png?v=1790813516
