This kind of use puts the turbocharger under sustained pressure for extended periods. Frequent cold restarts without allowing the engine to cool down, or predominantly urban driving punctuated by sharp acceleration, can accelerate wear on the original turbo. To restore your Bora's performance and reliability, a new turbo compatible with reference 720855-5007S is available as a replacement.

Turbo compatibility with the Bora and its ASZ engine

This new turbo is compatible with the following engine fitted to the Volkswagen Bora: 1.9 TDI 130, engine code ASZ. Before placing an order, please check the reference printed on your vehicle's existing turbo to confirm an exact match with the references listed below.

Equivalent references

038253016F

038253016FU

038253016FV

038253016FV115

038253016FV500

038253016FV510

038253016FX

03G253016Q

03G253016QU

03G253016QV

03G253016QX

716216-5001S

720855-5007S

Exchange and warranty for your Bora

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Volkswagen Bora is never left off the road unnecessarily. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

Fitting advice to protect your turbo

Before installation, carefully inspect the oil circuit (hoses, feed and return lines) as well as the air intake and the condition of the air filter, which are often overlooked on high-mileage Boras. A clogged or cracked intercooler can also cause rapid failure of the new turbo. Prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings. After fitting, drive gently at first, avoiding hard acceleration on a cold engine, and follow the oil change intervals and oil specification recommended for the ASZ engine strictly — poor lubrication is the leading cause of premature turbo failure.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New SEAT Leon Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New SEAT Toledo Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Skoda Octavia Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

New Volkswagen Golf Turbo – Ref. 720855-5007S

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_9781b3af-382b-4484-98d4-18cd22be6882.png?v=1790812129
