This new turbo is compatible with reference 53039887005 and its equivalents, fitted to the Golf V equipped with the 2.0 TDI diesel engine. Checking the reference avoids any compatibility errors, particularly between the different power outputs of 136 and 140 hp, which share a very similar architecture.

Engine variants and engine codes covered on the Golf V

This new turbo fits the Volkswagen Golf V in its 2.0 TDI diesel variant, with an engine capacity of 1968 cm³, available under engine codes AZV and BKD. These direct-injection diesel units, widely used across this generation of Golf, rely heavily on the quality of turbocharging to maintain their original performance and fuel consumption. Before fitting, check the engine code stamped on the block to confirm it matches your vehicle exactly.

Equivalent references

03G253010J

03G253010JU

03G253010JV

03G253010JX

03G253014H

03G253014HV

03G253014HX

03G253019A

03G253019AV

03G253019AV550

03G253019AX

53039887005

57439880013

724930-5012S

Exchange basis and warranty for your Golf V

This turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbocharger is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, and is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Golf V is not left off the road. Before fitting the new turbo, check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the hoses, and the integrity of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication and prevent any dry running on first start-up.

Driving tips to protect your turbo

On a Golf V fitted with the 2.0 TDI, drive progressively, allow the engine to warm up before pushing the turbo hard, and let the engine idle for a short time before switching off after a demanding drive. These habits, combined with regular maintenance of the oil circuit and air filter, will help extend the life of the new turbo fitted to your vehicle.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New SEAT Altea Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New SEAT Leon Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New SEAT Toledo Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New Skoda Octavia Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New Skoda Superb Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New Volkswagen Jetta Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New Volkswagen Passat Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

New Volkswagen Touran Turbo – Ref. 53039887005

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_ed912579-be9e-4541-9907-ed75f4b17490.png?v=1790812139
