An illuminated engine warning light, abnormal exhaust smoke (blue or black), or excessive oil consumption are also warning signs not to be ignored. On these turbocharged engines, the turbine actuator linkage can seize and cause unexpected boost fluctuations – a symptom frequently reported on this engine.

A new turbo designed for the Jetta 1.4 TSI

This new turbo is compatible with reference 49180-01275 and fits the Volkswagen Jetta with the 1.4 TSI 125 CV petrol engine (1395 cm³), a widely used engine on this model. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the reference stamped on the casing of your old turbo to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.

Equivalent references

04E145704F

04E145704FV

04E145704FX

04E145704R

04E145704RV

04E145704RX

04E145713N

04E145713NV

04E145713NX

04E145721E

04E145721EV

04E145721EX

04E145721R

04E145721RV

04E145721RX

04E146721R

04E146721RV

04E146721RX

49180-01275

Exchange basis and warranty for your Jetta

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Jetta is not left off the road unnecessarily. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Fitting advice to protect your new turbo

Before fitting this new turbo to your Volkswagen Jetta, carefully check the oil circuit, the intake hoses and the air intake: even the slightest impurity or leak can compromise the longevity of the part. Priming the turbo with oil before restarting the engine is essential to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings. On this turbocharged petrol engine, make sure you also use a suitable quality oil and observe the oil change intervals, keep an eye on the air filter condition, and check the intercooler – as hard driving combined with neglected maintenance remains one of the most common causes of premature turbo failure.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A1 Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Passat Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Polo Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Scirocco Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Tiguan Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_c5959bc6-fbbf-4fcb-862b-40fdef3695ba.png?v=1790813529
