turbo-volkswagen-polo-neuf-49180-01275
New Volkswagen Polo Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

What changes behind the wheel of a Polo with a new turbo

On a Volkswagen Polo fitted with the 1.4 TSI engine, a turbo in good condition immediately delivers a sharper throttle response, smooth and linear power delivery, and no smoke or whistling under acceleration. When the turbocharger begins to fail, the Polo loses punch on pick-up, the engine may trigger a dashboard warning light, and fuel consumption rises for no apparent reason. Fitting a new turbo restores the driving feel you'd expect from this turbocharged engine in a compact city car.

Compatibility with the Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TSI

This new turbo, carrying the main reference 49180-01275, is compatible with the 1.4 TSI petrol engine in the Volkswagen Polo. Before placing an order, it is essential to check the exact reference printed on the old turbo or on the engine data plate, as several power variants may have been fitted to this model over the years.

Equivalent references

49180-01275

04E145704F

04E145704FV

04E145704FX

04E145704R

04E145704RV

04E145704RX

04E145713N

04E145713NV

04E145713NX

04E145721E

04E145721EV

04E145721EX

04E145721R

04E145721RV

04E145721RX

04E146721R

04E146721RV

04E146721RX

Exchange basis and warranty for this Polo turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to the Polo, so the vehicle is not left off the road. The part comes with a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and after fitting on a petrol Polo

On this 1.4 TSI engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by a lubrication fault linked to incorrect oil grade, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter allowing contaminants to reach the compressor. A cracked intercooler or poorly secured hoses can also cause a loss of pressure and accelerate wear. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses, and the cleanliness of the air intake. On first start-up, it is recommended to prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.

This same turbo also fits

New Audi A1 Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Passat Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Jetta Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Scirocco Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

New Volkswagen Tiguan Turbo – Ref. 49180-01275

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_2b1530a3-fff5-4179-a905-82fc4e324315.png?v=1790813530
