turbo-volkswagen-touran-neuf-04l253124a
New Volkswagen Touran Turbo – Ref. 04L253124A

Why might the turbo on your Touran 2.0 TDI 190 fail?

On the Volkswagen Touran fitted with the 2.0 TDI 190 engine (engine codes DDAA, DFCA, DFHA), the turbocharger is put under considerable strain, as it operates with variable geometry and precise electronic boost pressure control. The most common causes of failure observed on this engine are insufficient lubrication, incorrect or infrequently changed engine oil, a clogged air filter disrupting the intake, or a faulty intercooler allowing contaminants through. Hard acceleration followed by immediately switching off the engine — without a cooling-down period — causes premature wear to the turbo bearings. On this engine, used in both urban and motorway driving thanks to the Touran's family-car format, repeated stress of this kind accelerates wear on the unit.

New Turbo for Volkswagen Touran: Engine Compatibility

This new turbo is compatible with reference 04L253124A, intended for Volkswagen Touran models fitted with the 2.0 TDI 190 engine — a 1968 cm³ diesel identified by engine codes DDAA, DFCA or DFHA. Before placing an order, it is essential to check the reference number on your vehicle's existing turbo, or to use the list of equivalent references on this page, to ensure perfect compatibility with your Touran.

Exchange Basis and Warranty on This Touran Turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Touran is not left off the road during the process. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.

Advice Before Fitting the Turbo on Your Touran

Before fitting this new turbo to your Volkswagen Touran, several checks are essential: inspect the condition of the oil circuit (feed and return lines), check for any leaks on the boost hoses, and ensure the air intake is clean. Pre-lubricating the turbo with oil before the first start-up is strongly recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the moment the engine fires. Replacing the oil filter and air filter, along with a full oil change using oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications, are key steps in protecting the longevity of your new turbo.

Flexible Payment for Your Touran Turbo

Payment for this new turbo can be spread over several instalments — pay in up to 10 instalments to make your purchase easier.

This Same Turbo Also Fits

New Turbo Audi Q2 – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Audi Q3 – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo SEAT Ateca – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Skoda Karoq – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Skoda Superb – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Volkswagen Passat – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Volkswagen T-Roc – Ref. 04L253124A

New Turbo Volkswagen Tiguan – Ref. 04L253124A

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_637bea80-20c2-4a48-b87a-982d0f614d84.png?v=1790811099
