RSW

This 6-speed manual gearbox for the Audi A3 1.4 TSI, reference RSW, is fully reconditioned through a rigorous process before being returned to service. It is compatible with the petrol engine codes CZEA, CZDA, CHPA and CPTA fitted to this model. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and careful inspection of every internal component. Wear parts such as synchros, bearings, gears and seals are replaced as standard; the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

Several symptoms should alert the driver of an Audi A3 1.4 TSI: crunching or grinding when changing gear, difficulty engaging a gear, a stiff or imprecise gear lever, juddering while driving, or metallic noises in neutral. These signs often indicate advanced wear of the synchronisers or internal bearings, and replacing the gearbox before the fault worsens is strongly advisable to avoid damage to other transmission components.

Exchange Basis: A Unit Rebuilt to 0 km

Under the exchange scheme, your old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, so your vehicle is never left off the road.
