HLE

The DSG 6 gearbox, reference HLE, fitted to the Audi A3 2.0 TDI (engine code BKD, 1968 cm³), is reconditioned to a rigorous standard. This dual-clutch gearbox — known as S tronic at Audi — undergoes a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and detailed inspection of every component. Gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced whenever wear is found; the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. This DSG 6 gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit; the dual clutch, however, is supplied new — whether rebuilt or sold on an exchange basis, the service does not include the mechatronic unit, but your gearbox is returned to you with a brand-new dual clutch. The mechatronic unit, being an electronic component, is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains the vehicle's original unit.

Signs that your Audi A3 DSG gearbox needs replacing

Several warning signs point to a worn DSG 6 gearbox: juddering or slipping during gear changes, harsh or delayed shifts, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, loss of power in limp-home mode, or unusual noises and vibrations under acceleration. These symptoms are common on the Audi A3 2.0 TDI fitted with reference HLE and warrant a prompt diagnosis to avoid more serious damage.

Exchange basis: your garage is never left waiting

With our exchange service, the old unit is not collected before delivery. The reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first so that the garage is never without a part and the vehicle is not left off the road. The old gearbox — casing intact — is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
