The CAEB reference precisely identifies this petrol engine, which is widely fitted to this generation of Q5 and known for certain internal mechanical weaknesses to watch out for. A reconditioned engine is completely stripped, cleaned and inspected; worn internal components are replaced according to their condition, then the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. The exact details of all parts replaced are set out in the quote provided before your order is confirmed.

Signs That Your Engine Needs Replacing

Noticeable loss of power, particularly under acceleration

Abnormally high oil consumption

Metallic noises or knocking at idle

Engine warning light coming on repeatedly

White or blue smoke from the exhaust

Difficult starting or engine misfires

Exchange Basis: An Engine Delivered Without Delay

This CAEB engine is offered as an exchange unit, rebuilt to 0 km.
