The gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced according to the wear found, then the whole unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs That Your S tronic Gearbox Needs Replacing

Several warning signs should alert the driver of an Audi S3 fitted with this S tronic 6: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping under acceleration, a "gearbox fault" warning message on the dashboard, jolts when selecting D or R, unusual noises at idle, vibrations through the gear selector during hard acceleration, or a noticeable loss of power during spirited driving.
