This reference precisely identifies the engine intended for this model, making it straightforward to confirm compatibility before ordering. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the block, thorough cleaning and inspection of every internal component; worn parts are then replaced according to their condition – full details are set out in the quote – before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested.

Signs That the Engine Needs Replacing

On a C5 fitted with this 1.6 HDi, several warning signs point to engine failure: black or blue smoke from the exhaust, a noticeable loss of power under acceleration, a recurring engine warning light, metallic noises at idle or when cold, excessive oil consumption between services, reduced performance on hills, or difficulty starting in the morning.

A Bare Engine, Delivered as Per the Quote

This T3DA engine is sold as a bare engine; the exact details of what is included with this reference are set out in the quote drawn up before the order is placed.

Exchange Basis: No Waiting Around

This offer works on an exchange basis: the reconditioned T3DA engine is dispatched first, without waiting for the old engine to be returned.
