This 1950 cm³ diesel unit, identified under engine code OM 654.920, fits a wide range of Sprinter commercial variants. The reconditioning process involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts as required, reassembly to manufacturer tolerances, and a bench test prior to dispatch.

Signs That the Engine Needs Replacing

Several warning signs should alert the driver of a Sprinter fitted with this unit: noticeable loss of power under acceleration, abnormal exhaust smoke, excessive fuel or oil consumption, unusual metallic noises at idle, or a persistently illuminated engine warning light. These symptoms often indicate advanced internal wear and make a reconditioned engine a far more sensible choice than repeated costly repairs.

Exchange Basis: the EDEN BOITES Method

Under the exchange scheme, the old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned engine is dispatched first, so the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The old unit, with its casing intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES engine has been delivered and fitted. Its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This engine is supplied as a bare engine; the exact list of items included with reference 654920 is specified on the quote, which is the sole authoritative document on this matter.

Warranty and Payment

This engine is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to help manage the cost of this type of mechanical repair.

Compatible Vehicles (Ref. 654920)

This reference also fits:

Reconditioned Mercedes Vito 2.0 CDI Engine – Bare Engine – Ref. 654920

Reconditioned Mercedes GLC 2.0 CDI Engine – Bare Engine – Ref. 654920

Reconditioned Mercedes Classe A 2.0 CDI Engine – Bare Engine – Ref. 654920

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/moteur-echange-standard_edf7e36d-afe5-474d-a752-25e1d73bb973.png?v=1793204788
