Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of internal wear parts according to their condition; the exact details of what is replaced on reference D14NET are specified in the quote. The block is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, ensuring performance in line with the original specification.

Signs that your Astra 1.4 Turbo engine needs replacing

On an Astra fitted with the 1.4 Turbo petrol engine, several warning signs should alert the driver: a noticeable loss of power under acceleration, blue or white exhaust smoke, abnormally high oil consumption between services, unusual metallic noises at idle or when revving, and an illuminated engine warning light accompanied by a marked drop in performance. Repeated overheating, a smell of burning oil under the bonnet, or misfires on a cold start are further symptoms that justify replacement.

Exchange basis – a quick solution for your workshop

This reconditioned engine is sold on an exchange basis: it is supplied as a bare engine, with the exact details of what is included with reference D14NET specified in the quote. The old unit – sump or block intact – is only collected after the reconditioned engine has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. A deposit is taken at the time of order and refunded once the old unit has been delivered, fitted, returned and received.

Compatibility

This reconditioned engine, corresponding to reference D14NET, is compatible with vehicles fitted with engine code D14NET, in particular the Opel Astra in 1.4 Turbo petrol form with a 1364 cm³ engine capacity.

Warranty and payment

This engine comes with a 24-month parts warranty, valid subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
