Fitted to the 1.6 HDi with a 1560 cm³ capacity, reference 20DS94 is a 6-speed ETG6 automated manual gearbox with no clutch pedal — an electronic control unit manages both the clutch and gear changes. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of all internal wear parts including gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test prior to dispatch.

Signs that your ETG6 gearbox needs replacing

On a Peugeot 2008 fitted with reference 20DS94, several warning signs should not be ignored: pronounced juddering during gear changes, an abnormally long torque interruption, hesitant or harsh gear shifts, a gearbox warning light on the dashboard, or the transmission becoming stuck in neutral. These symptoms are often caused by advanced wear of the internal clutch or the gearbox's mechanical components.

Exchange basis: your gearbox delivered without delay

With our exchange range, the reconditioned gearbox is delivered to you straight away — there is no need to remove your old unit first. Your original gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES unit has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

The actuator unit that controls this ETG6 gearbox is not supplied or included in the sale: it is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains the vehicle's original unit, which should be retained and reused during fitting.

Warranty and payment

This Peugeot 2008 gearbox ref. 20DS94 is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
