CAVE

Reconditioned SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI Engine – Ref. CAVE

This SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI engine is reconditioned to restore reliable, long-lasting performance, particularly on versions fitted with engine code CAVE. This petrol unit powers the SEAT Ibiza Cupra and delivers strong output thanks to its turbocharger; however, it is susceptible to internal wear when servicing has not been carried out rigorously. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the engine, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts according to their condition, reassembly to manufacturer tolerances, and a bench test prior to dispatch.

Signs that the engine needs replacing

Several symptoms may indicate a worn CAVE engine: noticeable loss of power, metallic knocking on start-up, a recurring engine warning light, exhaust smoke, excessive oil consumption, or abnormal timing noise. If any of these signs appear, it is advisable to have the vehicle checked promptly to avoid a more costly failure.

Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first

As part of this exchange range, the reconditioned engine is dispatched first so that your vehicle is not left off the road. The old engine, which must be returned with its block intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES engine has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This engine is supplied as a bare unit: the exact details of what is included are specified on the quote, which is the sole reference for the contents of the delivery.

Important note: as this engine is sold as a bare unit, peripheral components are neither reconditioned nor tested and remain the vehicle's original parts; they are therefore not included in the reconditioning service described above.

Warranty and payment

This engine comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to make your purchase easier.

Compatible vehicles (ref.
