LVQ

Reconditioned SEAT Leon 1.6 Petrol Gearbox – Reference LVQ

This reconditioned gearbox for the SEAT Leon 1.6 Petrol (1595 cm³), compatible with engine codes BSE, BSF and BGU, is supplied under reference LVQ. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the unit is fully stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, and internal wear items – including gears, synchros, bearings and seals – are replaced as required. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and subjected to a final bench test, restoring performance close to that of a new unit on reference LVQ.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a SEAT Leon 1.6 petrol fitted with engine codes BSE, BSF or BGU, several symptoms point to a gearbox nearing the end of its life: increasingly stiff gear changes, an audible crunch when changing down, a gear jumping out spontaneously whilst driving, difficulty finding neutral, or unusual vibrations and noise from the gear lever. When these signs mount up, a one-off mechanical repair is generally no longer sufficient and a full gearbox replacement becomes necessary.

Exchange Basis: Immediate Dispatch, Old Unit Returned After Fitting

This LVQ gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: it is dispatched immediately, without waiting for the old unit to be returned first. The garage is therefore never left without a part and the vehicle is not kept off the road waiting for a return. The old gearbox – with its casing intact – is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This 5-speed manual gearbox is compatible with SEAT Leon 1.6 petrol vehicles (1595 cm³) fitted with engine codes BSE, BSF and BGU.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
