PFN

Reconditioned SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI Gearbox – Reference PFN

This reconditioned gearbox for the SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI is compatible with BKD, BMM, BMN and CFHC engines with an engine capacity of 1968 cm³, and corresponds to reference PFN. It is a 6-speed manual gearbox, fully overhauled in our workshop before being returned to service. The reconditioning follows a precise process: complete strip-down of the mechanism, cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, then reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing prior to dispatch. This final inspection stage verifies that every gear engages correctly before the unit is released for sale.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Leon 2.0 TDI fitted with this 6-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: gear changes that have become stiff or crunchy, a grinding noise when selecting third or fifth, a gear that jumps out spontaneously while driving, difficulty engaging reverse when cold, unusual vibrations transmitted through the gear lever, or a dull rumble in neutral. These symptoms generally indicate advanced internal wear, which warrants a full gearbox replacement rather than a one-off repair.

Exchange Basis: The Solution That Keeps Your Vehicle on the Road

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a gearbox and the vehicle is not off the road for any longer than necessary. The old unit is not collected before delivery; your old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned gearbox has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

Reference PFN is suitable for SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI vehicles fitted with BKD, BMM, BMN or CFHC engines. We recommend verifying the exact gearbox number before placing an order, as several variants may exist depending on the vehicle's trim level.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, valid subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

EDEN BOITES supports you every step of the way, from your initial quote through to collection of the old unit.

Compatible Vehicles (Ref.
