PRL

Reconditioned Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI Gearbox – Reference PRL

This reconditioned Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI gearbox, reference PRL, is a 6-speed manual unit designed for 1197 cm³ petrol engines with engine codes CJZA and CYVB. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and careful inspection of every internal component; wear parts — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals — are then replaced. The gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, restoring smooth, quiet gear changes.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On an Octavia 1.2 TSI, a worn manual gearbox often makes itself known through crunching or grinding when changing gear, difficulty engaging certain gears when cold, juddering or jumping out of gear while driving, or abnormal clutch wear caused by poor synchro guidance. An unusual background noise while driving — even with the gearbox in neutral — or increased resistance on the gear lever are also warning signs that should not be ignored before a more serious failure occurs.

Exchange Basis: Your Old Unit Is Not Collected Before Delivery

Under the exchange scheme, the reconditioned gearbox is fully rebuilt, bench-tested and reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before being dispatched. Your old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned part is sent out first, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as little time as possible. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES unit has been delivered and fitted; its return is nonetheless required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and Payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. You can spread the cost of your order by paying in up to 10 instalments.

Compatible Vehicles (Ref.
