DCXA

Reconditioned Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI DCXA Engine

This reconditioned engine for the Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI, with an engine capacity of 1598 cm³, corresponds to engine code DCXA and reference DCXA; it offers a reliable solution for replacing a faulty unit without waiting for a full rebuild. This diesel engine is fitted to a wide range of compact vehicles and sees heavy use in everyday driving, which makes a full reconditioning process far more appropriate than a one-off repair. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the block is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected, worn internal components are replaced according to their condition, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. This engine is supplied as a bare engine; the exact list of components included with reference DCXA is confirmed on the quote.

Signs that your engine needs replacing

Unusual exhaust smoke – white or blue – on start-up or whilst driving

Noticeable loss of power and hesitation under acceleration

Metallic noise or knocking from the engine block

Engine warning light coming on repeatedly

Abnormally high oil consumption

Difficult cold starts accompanied by excessive smoke

Exchange basis: delivery before return of the old unit

This engine is sold as a bare engine and dispatched without waiting for the old unit to be returned first.
