JPG

Reconditioned Skoda Yeti 1.4 TSI Gearbox – Reference JPG

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Skoda Yeti fitted with the 1.4 TSI petrol engine (engine capacity 1390 cm³, engine code CAXA), under reference JPG. It is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected before all wear components — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals — are replaced. It is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested prior to dispatch, ensuring performance equivalent to a brand-new unit. This 6-speed manual gearbox is fitted to a large number of Yeti models used daily, in town and on the motorway alike, which accounts for the gradual wear of its internal components.

Signs That Your 6-Speed Manual Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Skoda Yeti 1.4 TSI, several warning signs point to advanced wear of the 6-speed manual gearbox: increasingly stiff gear changes, crunching when downshifting, gears jumping out whilst driving, difficulty finding neutral, or grinding from the gear lever. A persistent metallic noise, vibrations under acceleration, or unusual resistance when engaging second or third gear can also indicate advanced internal wear — and the gearbox should be replaced before the problem worsens.

Exchange Delivery

This JPG gearbox is sold on an exchange basis, rebuilt to 0 km. The reconditioned unit is dispatched first, before your old gearbox is collected, so your vehicle is never off the road any longer than necessary. The old gearbox — with its casing intact — is only collected once the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted to the Yeti. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

Reference JPG is compatible with the Skoda Yeti fitted with the 1.4 TSI petrol engine, engine code CAXA, engine capacity 1390 cm³.
