You send us your original gearbox, identified by reference SWIFT-EZD11-5V, and it is returned to you fully reconditioned, ready to be refitted to your vehicle.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

Several warning signs indicate wear on the 5-speed manual gearbox of the Swift 1.3: stiff or grinding gear changes, gears jumping out whilst driving, crunching from the synchros, vibrations in neutral, or abnormal noise at the clutch. These symptoms point to internal wear that warrants a full rebuild rather than a partial repair.

Your unit rebuilt and ready to fit

Your SWIFT-EZD11-5V gearbox is completely stripped down, and every component is cleaned and inspected to identify any worn or faulty parts. Gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing signs of wear are replaced, then the gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before being returned to you. This service covers your own unit only: it is not a swap for an exchange unit, but a full rebuild of your original gearbox.

For this gearbox, the service does not include the transfer case; this component is not reconditioned or tested and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by you during reassembly.

Compatibility

This service applies to the 5-speed manual gearboxes fitted to the Suzuki Swift 1.3 with the M13A engine, reference SWIFT-EZD11-5V.

Warranty and payment

The rebuild of your gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
