Non-compliant engine oil, missed oil changes or a clogged oil filter all accelerate wear on the bearings and rotor. A blocked air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt air pressure, causing premature fatigue to the turbine. Hard acceleration followed by immediately switching off the engine — without allowing a cooling-down period — causes the oil in the turbo circuit to carbonise and can lead to seizure.

Compatibility of the turbo for the SEAT Altea 1.9 TDI

This reconditioned turbo is compatible with reference 54399880022, intended for SEAT Altea models fitted with the 1.9 TDI engine of 1896 cm³, producing 90 or 105 hp depending on the version. The engine codes covered are BJB, BKC, BLS, BXE, BRU, BXF and BXJ. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference number on your old turbo or in the vehicle's technical documentation, to confirm exact compatibility with your engine.

Exchange basis and warranty for this Altea turbo

This reconditioned turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your SEAT Altea is not left off the road during the process. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before fitting on your Altea 1.9 TDI

Before installing this reconditioned turbo, check the oil circuit on your Altea: the oil feed and return hoses, the condition of the oil filter, and the general cleanliness of the lubrication circuit. Also inspect the air intake, air filter and intercooler to rule out any leaks or blockages that could put the new turbo under strain again. On first start-up, remember to prime the turbo with oil before starting the engine, to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first revolutions.

This same turbo also fits

Reconditioned Audi A3 Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned SEAT Ibiza Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned SEAT Leon Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned SEAT Toledo Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned Skoda Octavia Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned Volkswagen Caddy Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

Reconditioned Volkswagen Golf Turbo – Ref. 54399880022

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/turbo-echange-standard_c0dfad94-07a4-4b43-bb67-617706c6a5be.png?v=1790810378
