Each unit is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component; the most heavily loaded gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced before the gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and given a final bench test. This reconditioning process restores performance to manufacturer standards, without the risks associated with an unverified second-hand unit. The JJT reference ensures a reliable like-for-like replacement on this model.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On this petrol Caddy, several warning signs point to wear in the 5-speed manual gearbox:

Stiff or crunching gear changes, particularly into second or fifth

Vibrations or dull rumbling noises in neutral with the engine running

Jumping out of gear whilst driving, especially on hills or under load

Difficulty engaging reverse, accompanied by a characteristic grinding noise

Gearbox oil leak visible beneath the vehicle at the casing

Exchange Gearbox: Reconditioned and Ready to Ship

With this gearbox rebuilt to 0 km, the reconditioned unit is dispatched before your old gearbox is collected.
