TLD

This reconditioned 5-speed manual gearbox is designed for the Volkswagen Caddy fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine of 1968 cm³, corresponding to engine code DFSD, and carries the reference TLD. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and inspection of every component. Internal wear parts — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals — are systematically replaced. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Caddy fitted with the TLD reference, several warning signs should not be ignored: stiff or imprecise gear changes, crunching when downshifting, unexpected gear jumping, unusual vibrations in neutral or while driving, and difficulty engaging reverse. A metallic noise under acceleration or an oil leak at the casing may also indicate advanced wear of the synchros or internal bearings.

Exchange Basis: A Unit Rebuilt to 0 km

Under the exchange scheme, the old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched and fitted first, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES unit has been delivered and installed. Its return is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Caddy 2.0 TDI, reference TLD, is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. You can spread the cost of your order and pay in up to 10 instalments.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/boite-de-vitesses-echange-standard_604b8931-2cd5-4858-9bdd-9bb7c628800e.png?v=1792836722
