It restores crisp, smooth gear changes and lets you get back on the road without waiting for a complete transmission failure — which is often far more costly to deal with as an emergency.

Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and a detailed inspection of every internal component. Wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required, then the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before bench testing confirms that the rebuilt gearbox is functioning correctly prior to dispatch.

Signs That Your DSG Gearbox Needs Replacing

Juddering or jerking during gear changes in drive position D

Slipping sensation under acceleration, as though the clutch is slipping

Automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard

Limp-home mode activated, limiting engine revs

Unusual noises or juddering at idle in park position

Abnormally long response time between selecting a gear and it engaging

Exchange Basis: the Reconditioned Gearbox Is Dispatched Before Your Old Unit Is Returned

This DSG 6 gearbox, reference HQL, is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a gearbox and the vehicle is not stuck on the ramp. The old gearbox — with its casing intact — is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted to the vehicle. Return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, and ensures the transaction is completed smoothly for all parties.

Compatibility

This reconditioned gearbox, reference HQL, is compatible with Volkswagen Eos 2.0 TDI vehicles fitted with the BMM, CBAB or CFFB engines. Before ordering, we recommend verifying the exact match with the original gearbox fitted to your vehicle.

What Is Not Included in the Sale

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, which the customer must reuse during fitting. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with the gearbox reference HQL.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
