It is supplied fully inspected and ready to fit, operating in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

On a DSG 6, several signs indicate gearbox wear: juddering or jolting during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, occasional refusal to engage a gear, unusual noise at low speed, or loss of power on pull-away. These symptoms warrant a prompt inspection before the fault worsens and causes damage to other transmission components.

Reconditioning of the HXS Gearbox

The reconditioning of this DSG 6 gearbox follows a comprehensive process: it is fully stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, the gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required, and the gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this HXS reference gearbox.

Exchange Basis: Delivery Before Return of the Old Unit

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis, rebuilt to 0 km. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and fitting of the reconditioned unit. Its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This DSG 6 gearbox reference HXS is compatible with Volkswagen Eos 2.0 TDI engines bearing codes BMM, CBAB and CFFB, with an engine capacity of 1968 cm³.

Warranty and Payment

This gearbox is sold with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
