JUR

Reconditioned Volkswagen Fox 1.2 Gearbox – Reference JUR

The reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Fox 1.2 petrol, with an engine capacity of 1198 cm³, compatible with engine codes BMD and CHFB, is available under reference JUR. It is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component; any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing signs of wear are replaced, before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested to verify correct operation across every gear. This 5-speed manual gearbox ensures power transmission on the Fox whilst retaining the original gear ratios essential to the model's expected driving behaviour. Every gearbox is tested under real load conditions prior to dispatch, guaranteeing performance close to that of a new unit.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Fox fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs point to advanced wear of the internal mechanism.
