These symptoms point to internal wear of the gears, synchros or bearings, and signal a more serious failure if the gearbox continues to be used in its current condition.

A Gearbox Rebuilt to 0 km, Supplied on an Exchange Basis

During reconditioning, all internal wear parts are replaced: gears, synchros, bearings and seals are inspected and changed as required, before being reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested on a bench. The DRW gearbox is thus rebuilt to 0 km and dispatched on an exchange basis: the reconditioned gearbox is delivered first so your vehicle is not left off the road, and the old gearbox – casing intact – is only collected after delivery and fitting of the new unit. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This reconditioned DRW gearbox is compatible with Golf 1.9 TDI models fitted with engines BKC, BLS, BXE, ATD, AXR or ASZ; the engine code shown on the vehicle's identification plate can be used to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Warranty and Payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
