CYVD

The reconditioned Volkswagen New Beetle 1.2 TSI engine under reference CYVD is sold on an exchange basis, giving a new lease of life to your 1197 cm³ petrol unit. This engine, identified by the code CYVD, is fitted to the New Beetle in its turbocharged direct-injection 1.2 TSI configuration. As part of the reconditioning process, it is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected before all worn internal components are replaced according to their condition; the exact details of what is replaced are set out on your quote. The engine is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. It is supplied as a bare engine, and the precise contents of the delivery are confirmed on your personalised quote.

Signs that the engine needs replacing

On this 1.2 TSI unit, several warning signs should not be ignored: a persistent metallic knocking on cold start, abnormally high oil consumption, a loss of power under acceleration, a recurring engine warning light, or blue smoke from the exhaust. These symptoms often point to advanced wear of the internal timing components or other internal engine parts, making replacement with a reconditioned engine under reference CYVD a more reliable solution than an uncertain partial repair.

Exchange basis: no waiting around

With our exchange range, the old unit is not collected before delivery. Your reconditioned CYVD engine is dispatched and fitted first, so your workshop is never left without a part; the old unit, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation of the EDEN BOITES part. Return of the old engine is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. For an exchange engine, a deposit is required; this is refunded to you after delivery, installation, and the return and receipt of the old unit, and no amount is stated here.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned CYVD engine comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
