GSH

Reconditioned Volkswagen Polo 1.2 Petrol Gearbox – Reference GSH

This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Polo 1.2 Petrol, reference GSH, is a 5-speed manual unit compatible with engines CGPA, CGPB, BMD, AZQ and BZG, with an engine capacity of 1198 cm³. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the gearbox is fully stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, wear items such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before a final bench test. Reference GSH therefore guarantees performance that meets original factory standards.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Polo 1.2 fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, certain warning signs should not be ignored: stiff or crunching gear changes, grinding in 2nd or 3rd gear, vibration in neutral, juddering on clutch release, a metallic noise under acceleration, or an oil leak from the gearbox casing. These symptoms point to internal wear and justify replacement with a reconditioned unit.

Exchange Gearbox: Immediate Delivery, Deferred Return

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is delivered first, without waiting for the old gearbox to be returned. The original casing is collected after delivery and fitting of the new unit, so the garage is never left without a gearbox and the vehicle is not off the road unnecessarily. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

Engine CGPA

Engine CGPB

Engine BMD

Engine AZQ

Engine BZG

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox, reference GSH, is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
